Farmhand Program

Ranger — your friendly Farmhand Program escort!

If staying more than one night with us, you may opt to participate in our Farmhand Program. This includes a guided tour of the farm plus you can assist the farmers with a variety of farm duties (1 to 2 hours). Depending on the season, duties may include:

  • Collecting eggs
  • Milking the cows (when available)
  • Feeding and watering chickens, ducks, fainting goats, cows, and pigs
  • Planting, weeding or harvesting in the organic gardens
  • Harvesting pecans or fruit from our orchards

Program participants may stroll around our vegetable gardens, or enjoy a walk on beautiful, wooded private nature trails.
