A Chemical-free Sustainable Farm
The historic Old Crowe Farm is a 132-acre pasture-based sustainable farm and educational outreach nestled in the rolling hills of south-central Virginia.
Rare Heritage Livestock & Mentoring
We raise and sell heritage American Guinea Hogs, Dexter cattle, and Tennessee fainting goats, as well as the eggs from our free-ranging chickens. On-farm mentoring with overnight accommodations is also offered.
Maremma Livestock Guardian Dogs
During the spring of every year, a litter of purebred Maremma Sheepdogs are offered for sale. These exceptional livestock guardians watch over poultry, goats, cattle, and pigs here at the Old Crowe Farm.
Chemical-free Fruits, Vegetables, & Pecans
Chemical-free heirloom vegetables, herbs, and pecans are grown here at the farm and we market these through local farmer’s markets and directly from the farm. Blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries are sold fresh seasonally and year-round in our jams and jellies.
Canning Classes
We offer a series of food preservation classes, ranging from home canning to dehydrating. Want to learn to preserve your own food? Come take a class with our certified Master Food Preserver and learn how to preserve some of this falls’ bounty!
Farmstay Bed & Breakfast
We invite you to come stay at our Farmstay Bed & Breakfast where you can relax and enjoy the simple life at the Old Crowe Farm.
Farm Tours & Educational Outreach
Our farm tours and programs educate others as to the importance of saving rapidly vanishing traditional livestock breeds and crops that were raised by farmers in days past. Contact us today to schedule a tour.
